I bought them to wear at home. My size was sold out (91/2) so I bought a 9. I have narrow feet with a high arch and I have a hard time finding shoes. My suggestion is that if you have a narrow foot, you can choose half a size down. Even with a high arch, they are not too tight on the shaft of the shoe. I like lace-up hiking boots, but these will do. Of all the knitted shoes I've tried, these are the best. The insoles appear to be removable, which I like for washing, but they stay in place. This is a good buy for the price.
