Got size M+ as my 5lb Canadian Sphynx was still growing and growing fast. In the end it fits perfectly! I just roll up my sleeves once or twice and pull them out of the way since they're a bit longer and he puts his hands in his shirt after he gets up, after he lays down and all that, lol. I hope this can help someone else with what they need as it took me sooo long to compare sizes etc before finally buying it. My Sphynx is now around 6lbs and it still fits perfectly (enough room to grow a little / have a comfortable fit once it's already grown). Its back is approximately 12 inches, its chest is approximately 13 inches, and its neck is approximately 8 inches. . And yeah he's a sphynx so he's hairless so the lack of hair definitely plays into the sizes of the cat and dog sweaters and such, haha, so this sweater turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for had after looking for a reasonable and decent price reviews especially when you look at the sizing. I would say the way the fabric is sewn together to form thicker layers is fine and I haven't seen any signs of deterioration or anything. I mostly slap him after the bath when he's completely clean, like his little sweater and he loves to hang around the house and sleep in it :) Oh! Plus he still has full freedom of movement when wearing it, even if his sleeves are rolled up a notch or two (or not), and he loves to run and play with our dog while wearing it too :) He looks a little steve jobs sure haha
