This mic was purchased to prepare a podcast for next month's cybersecurity week. My budget didn't allow me to get these blue versions, named after the creature from the snowy mountains, and it was at a much lower price. Here are some features I find useful that work well with this mic: * You can plug headphones directly into the mic to monitor the input. Extremely useful when using one mic for both announcements/PA and live vocals! I love this feature. * Good clear sound. * Clear and accurate audio capture next to the microphone with a heart-shaped profile as promised. * Can be used with your phone! * I didn't notice any pops, hisses or other audio artifacts or distortions. * Records speech, vocals, African drums and beatboxing equally well. * Controls are simple and effective - volume control and mute for mic-in and headphone-out work great and are EXTREMELY useful! USB-A male cable for data and power! * Mute button * Has volume down. When in use, the stand does not take up much space on the table.
