Let me start by saying I would have bought this a LONG WAY AGO if I had known what I was missing! My old meat thermometer had a "probe" that had to be plugged in (and disconnected from other things in the drawer!) This Befano meat thermometer has a probe, so it took me literally 2 seconds to check the temperature of the meatloaf. cooked. I plugged it in, lengthened the built in probe (the kit also comes with a long threaded metal probe to leave in a turkey or roast - very nice to have but let's be honest how often do we need it? The one supplied Probe is game changed!) When I turned it on, it lit up with a blue background so I didn't have to squint to see the temp! Wow! Absolutely love!
