Less than it should be. I'm 6ft 3cm and my arms are the right size for my height, an average size for a person of this size. The XL was a bit small in an area I thought the 2XL would fix, but it didn't. The saddle portion of the thumb (the area from the base of the thumb to about the first knuckle of the index finger) needed more room so that the palm material doesn't peel off when I hold all my fingers and spread my thumb across the base of the thumb/palm to the point at which there was tension. Your thumb should be naturally pressed against the palm when you spread your hand (SEE PHOTO). They are also more inclined towards snowmobile gloves, meaning they are WARM (sometimes too warm) and WATERPROOF. I shovel snow in Michigan in the winter, which is a real plus. Don't expect a good tactile feel and it will feel unwieldy to those trying to use it that way. But perfect for shoveling, hammering and masonry. I saw another comment about the liner retracting into the glove when removed - I agree. I haven't had them long enough to speak of durability, but they feel like they'll last a few winters. The grip is good. 4 stars for warmth, water resistance and possible durability. There is a star deduction for the overall fit.
