In early 2017 I had a G2 PSU ModFlex E-Series kit in a lighter red for about $4 less and I chose this "Professional " Black/Blood Red Set for New Construction. Right off the bat, the old set had more VGA and SATA power cables, although this new set's cables look thicker and are pre-combed. One of those two issues for me was the lack of SATA cables, as I had accumulated multiple drives over the years and also needed an extra one for my case's built-in fan hub. So my advice is to check how many SATA power connectors you need and where they are located before getting this kit as you may need 1 or 2 more when you start building (I only have the one SATA used cable that came with the kit). . power supply, as not visible). The pre-installed combs may seem a little nondescript at first, so check the connectors on the MB/GPU end of each cable to locate them. At first I didn't see them, I only found self-aligning combs, then I realized this by pulling the cords out of plastic bags. For reference, my VGA cables came with 3 cables each pre-installed, the 24-pin MB cable also came with 3, 1 8-pin CPU cable came with 2 installed, and finally the additional 4+4-pin CPU -Cables don't t come (I used an extra 8 combs + 2x4 combs for that extra cable as my MB required a 4 + 8 pin connection to the processor. For the price I think they could have included an extra VGA (as a good one backup, just in case one of the included cables is bad) and 1 or 2 more sata cables (even just double sata) but generally happy with it, just think how many cables you have compared to that , which is included in this kit.My previous "Full" kit also had some discoloration when connecting to PC components (CPU and VGA) so we'll see how this new kit performs over time .EDIT (07/01/2021): D The previous CableMod kit has been corrected.
