It gives us an overview of what we are doing right, where there might have been mistakes in our process or if something could even lead to risk for the bank itself. As well as this you get suggestions about how best to improve your processes by looking at historical data from previous years which helps give some insight into trends over time. I dislike when my team has got used to having their own set rules/protocols within DCS but then one day receive new information/guidelines requiring changes. This causes confusion amongst staff who do not understand why they should change things now instead waiting until later. We use DICTOR compliance solution software with many other banks across Europe including HSBC Bank Plc and Standard Chartered PLC etc. Our business was previously limited only working with US clients however these days we work more than half way around the world.
