Review on 🔊 Monoprice OVC300: Weather Resistant 300-Watt Outdoor Volume Control with Auto Impedance Matching - Gray (Model 138178) by Tony Wylie

I bought this to replace Niles' 13 year old volume control when I moved it under the hot tub in our gazebo. After trying several troubleshooting options as to why a speaker had cut out after plugging this knob in, I found that the volume potentiometer had a short circuit. (Sliding in and out made the speaker go in and out.) Since the Niles box was pretty toasty I use the Monoprice PVC box this controller came in, plugged it in and installed the old Niles control box in it and installed the unit. Works like a dream. Needless to say, I can't currently return the MP controller, which is why I just paid $36 for a PVC socket. As I've said many times over the years, cheap gets expensive. I had to follow my own advice.
