My preschool daughter can only wear closed toe shoes and closed toe shoes and no boots. .We love Mary Janes so this is a great compromise. Pros: -Machine washable when insoles are removed -Stay true to size (can get a printable size chart from Cienta website) -Easy for kids to put on Cons: -shiny/metallic colors get "fuzzy" or quite slightly off roll off the toes (no problem with canvas colors) Overall conclusion: great shoe, very comfortable and highly recommended!
