After three pairs of gloves I found the ones that fit me! I bought winter gloves touch screen motorcycle gloves waterproof gloves for cold weather cycling skiing snowboarding for men and women. (Blue, Large), and these gloves didn't take root at all; They shouldn't even be advertised as motorbike friendly. The wind slices through them and there is no armor or reinforced material on them. Then I bought ILM alloy steel motorcycle gloves, warm waterproof, windproof for winter use (L, BLUE (WINTER)). These gloves worked better by only letting air through the empty space at the fingertips of the gloves. I appreciated the fact that these gloves have an armored shell on the knuckles, but they are stiff and bulky so some of the controls on my bike (turn signal stalk, horn button, etc.) were difficult to use. I might try to keep using them to see if they loosen up. But then again, these Thinsulate gloves are sooooo warm and comfortable! No, they don't have armor over the knuckles, but there is extra padding. These gloves kept my hands warm. While they are a bit larger than ILM gloves, the leather and thinner insulation make them easier to move around, so I didn't have much trouble handling my bike. I've ridden in temperatures as high as 36 degrees Fahrenheit and speeds as high as 75 mph, and these gloves kept my hands warm. They seem strong enough that if I shatter (which I hope never will!) I feel they can withstand abuse. Of all the gloves I've used on a motorcycle, these have proven to be the best for cold weather riding.
