I had my doubts about the quality of these scissors after purchasing the first pair to try due to the reasonable price and metal look and description. Considering the price, it's less than half their cost (one way). I would (now) pay $35 for it. If they were made here in the US they would cost $50. These are impressive sewing scissors (i.e. large area cuts and raw bolt cuts and layered fabric cuts with a large pattern. If you intend to use them for paper or fabric they are frankly overkill but at this price why not. They are not suitable for small and Detail areas but don't use 10" scissors for that. They're pretty strong and the finish is solid and pretty damn nice. They'll last a lifetime, seriously, they're worth resharpening - although mine still has one Razor blade has and will cut multiple (easily 3 layers) of fabric across the entire blade I use these instead of any other scissors when sewing I am writing this now because I bought these a while ago - wanted another pair and for less than $20...it's a bit unbelievable...pause).
