Pattern not etched deeply enough. I already had a Christmas rolling pin so I was thrilled when I saw it with a new and different design. Upon arrival I was disappointed. The patterns are not etched deep enough and the rolling pin is small and narrow. I usually roll out half of the cookie dough with a marble rolling pin (about ΒΌ inch thick). Then I roll the wooden figure over the dough to make an embossing by rolling it out with light pressure. Then I carefully place the cutters to cut out and print the designs. This is how it should work. Unfortunately, the patterns are so pale that they disappear when baked. They are almost invisible on raw dough. I cannot recommend this rolling pin. This is very bad. If the drawings were engraved deeper it would be amazing. Now it's basically useless. I gave it to my grandkids to use in their toy kitchen.
