Mixed rating. Firstly, it is very cute, soft and quickly became our hamster's favorite hiding place. However, we didn't have much success using it as a swing as our hamster kept falling off trying to get in, so we removed the chain and placed it on the bottom of the tank. The hamster preferred the banana nest to other options. There he felt very comfortable. So far, so good. This is where it went wrong. The hamster gnawed two holes in the fabric and the inner lining collapsed, gnawing and tearing. He stuffed bedding in and pooped in, and especially with the torn lining, it was almost impossible to peel a banana. Looks disgusting and smells disgusting! It's only been about three weeks, so the ROI isn't great either. So the banana now ends up in the trash and has been replaced by a coconut shell that is easy to peel. Not as "comfortable" but definitely more hygienic.
