I had a Kirby Sentria vacuum for about 10 years and had no problems until I damaged the fan and thought I was in for an expensive repair. Using a hose attachment for vacuuming my car, I sucked a small rock out of the floorboard. My vacuum cleaner immediately started making loud noises, it smelled like it was burning and the suction power was gone. I was worried that I screwed up until I started searching the internet for possible problems and found a video on how to replace the fan. This fan matched the original perfectly and now my vacuum cleaner works like new again. This fan does NOT come with installation instructions, so be prepared to find online videos or other resources to guide you along the way. I won't say the install was the easiest, but my husband and I did it ourselves. It was maybe more difficult for us because my old fan was heating up on metal and partially melting. I definitely recommend trying the renovation yourself and saving a ton of money in the process!
