I have a Doberman pinscher puppy who loves guarding his yard. I've tried other dog collars and he's just too stubborn and will get used to the vibration or the strength of the shock and ignore it after a few days. I bought it because it was recommended to me for very stubborn dogs. I followed the directions and started with the setting low and increased it each time he was able to keep barking. The collar is so unstable that I have pulled the collar up to level 9 and turned it off every now and then. He was screaming and shaking, and now he refuses to go out into the yard because he has no idea what's causing it.
