I ordered a heater because I was tired from the cold in the bathroom. Since it only runs for about an hour at a time, I'd expect it to have a decently long lifespan. It definitely warms up the room - as an added bonus, I've found that aiming the heater at the mirror prevents fogging. I wish the cord was a bit longer as the placement of our ONE outlet in the bathroom forces me to run the cord through the sink behind the faucets. water + electricity, you know. It's not really a risk, but I still feel terrible about it. I like the compact size and the unobtrusive function button - it's almost invisible. A carrying handle can also come in handy - this is a rather awkward shape to handle/carry.
