Amazing Quick-Fix is the best tube fitting

I have a hose reel in my garage and it would be impossible (for me) to replace the hose without replacing the entire reel. The hose snapped at the end just before the fitting so it was VERY easy to fix with this fitting. I simply cut off the end in front of the crack and installed this fitting. I was watching a guy on YouTube and thought maybe his video was upside down because I saw him screwing the fitting in the wrong way, but it turns out the large ring used a left-hand thread. It went in pretty easily and fits snugly. Then I screwed in the inner fitting to complete the repair. The threads got quite tight toward the end, but I gathered my strength when I screwed my sleeve onto the male fitting on this part, completing the job of tightening this insert. It was quick work and the fit is perfect. I don't normally leave my hose pressurized, but I left it charged for 24 hours because I was curious if there were any minor leaks. My compressor never turned on so I'm assuming it's sealed. I found something interesting while installing it. My hose reel has a moving rubber bumper that stops the reel after all the hose has been rolled up. The slack piece of hose that was hanging off the rubber bumper broke almost entirely between the bumper and the end of the hose. This seems to be why my hose snapped due to the weight of the end pulling on the sagging piece of hose. Instead of letting it retract all the way to the bumper, I now pull it out a few more inches (to the first click in the coil) and drop the whole thing over the coil so it's all on the coil and there's no tension at the end is of the hose. I'll probably have to snip the end of the hose a few more inches and move the fitting down once these cracks become real leaks. I think that's part of the beauty of this reusable faucet.
