Review on Evapolar evaCHILL Portable Personal Air Cooler and Humidifier Fan - Mini AC, Medium Size, Opaque White by Miro Dadee

Just to clarify, this is a mini evaporative cooler, also known as a swamp cooler. Works great in dry climates, not so well in wetter climates and probably ineffective in very humid parts of the country. I haven't tried measuring the temperature difference with a thermometer, since the chilling effect is the same as "wind chill" - the chilling effect on human skin, and the thermometer just doesn't measure it. When the fan is switched on, the feeling of cooling is very noticeable. As for the other comments: poor fan performance. The fan has 4 speeds, the user may not have reached the high speed level.? I have mine on a table 5-6 feet from the sofa in my family room and the moist cool breeze is VERY noticeable and effective. I was able to increase the temperature of my home air conditioner by 77-79 degrees while watching TV or using my laptop/iPad for long periods of time. I used to bet on 74-75. Saved some power. Portability isn't a big deal for my use, so I wish it had a bigger H2O tank. It needs to be refilled about every 3 hours, but this depends on the fan speed and ambient humidity. I always turn on the fan at high speed and the humidity is usually below zero. The only thing stopping me from buying multiple apartments (bedroom, office, kitchen) is the price. $80-99 is a bit steep.
