I just installed this solar panel in our pool. We'll wait a week or two to evaluate performance and then my estimate will change. This solar chlorine ionizer was easy to assemble. The instructions could be clearer. For example, I had no say in removing the plastic wrap from the copper anode and removing the foam padding used to protect the coil spring and basket before installing each part. It wasn't intuitive. I doubt a product when the instructions need to be read by someone who is fluent in English or checking spelling. Now, what I liked: * The instructions warn that you must use a plastic cover and thumbscrew to prevent metal interaction with the copper anode. (If you replace it with a metal screw, it will "melt" with the copper and prevent ionization). Replacement parts such as plastic caps and thumbscrews are sold at Revain through SunSest. NB: SUNSEST INCLUDES A SECOND PLASTIC COVER AND SCREW WINGS FOR FUTURE USE. I appreciate that the seller is thinking ahead and including replacement parts so I can order a new replacement part if I use the replacement part that came with it! SUNSEST CONTAINS A WIRE BRUSH AND A STEEL FLOAT for cleaning. 2. EXCELLENT!*5-page guide with TROUBLESHOOTING, how the chemical reaction works, and customer contact information. More fame and 4th star while we wait. * Science needs to be there and working to keep our pool clean and chemical free with moderate assistance from chlorine tablets. One block supports a 22,000 gallon pool. The company warns against using other pool chemicals, especially those containing cyanuric acid, which is found in some chlorine tablets, after you start using this product. The acid can cause a purple stain, which should go away after the cyanuric acid level is reduced. No other chemicals are required for this solar ionizer. I'm excited because during the hot Phoenix summer we needed 2 buckets of chlorine and we use a lot of buckets of pills. I am very excited to try a product that will reduce my maintenance costs!
