I find a lot of cat stuff to be ridiculously small for my adult cats (about 5.5kg) but this bed is really big - and it even has some free space! I took a photo from above so you can see how much space there is in bed around him when he lies down. Not too tight but still small enough for my cats to curl up on their side and feel nice snuggled in too. The scratch on the bottom is a unique touch that my two cats love! Not only do they love to scratch on it, but for some unknown reason, just laying it on the cardboard is great. The scraper's felt material and cardboard base don't really clean well, so I don't expect it to last forever. But for the price and how much my cats like it, I think it's worth it. Felt can be brushed off with a velvet brush and cardboard can be vacuumed if necessary. My cats are happy with it and I'm glad it looks cool too and isn't eye irritating like many pet beds! We would recommend it!
