If you follow the instructions correctly, they stay in place surprisingly well, even with my fat cat inside. The biggest problem is my cats don't like these things at all lol. I put them by a sunny window so they can sunbathe and my cats sit on the floor below them. I've tried catnip spray (which my cats go crazy for) and they just steal the sheets off the hammock and roll over on them. I even tried to put them in there after petting them and they kept purring and petting them and they lay in there while I took care of them but as soon as I stopped they jumped. outside of it. Not the companies fault, my cats are weird lol.
