I don't normally write reviews but after building this stool I decided I would. That. This stool lasted about 2 uses before the horrible welds blew. The metal used was too thin to re-weld and JB Weld was of no help. I looked at both the major DIY websites, Revain and a few others to look for a good quality replacement. I almost pulled the trigger for a few more, and then I found this one. I was a bit skeptical but hopeful as it was the cheapest of the four I was considering. I knew if it was junk I would return it and get another one. My rolling stool arrived on Sunday and after clearing out the store I unpacked the box still hoping for a quality item. As I removed the various parts, I was incredibly impressed at how these parts were carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and protected with duct tape. Layers of high-quality foam separating individual parts in a bubble wrap prevent the parts from rubbing against each other and tearing the bubble wrap. I can honestly say that a better job could not have been done packaging this. The assembly was easy and uncomplicated. I followed the instructions and added red threadlocker to each screw. I threw away the glass holder as it wasn't what I needed on my stool. After assembly, I tried it out and the seat cushion proved incredibly comfortable for a shop stool—much more comfortable than my $20 stool mentioned above. The wheels have ball bearings in both the wheels and the pivots. The wheels feel solid and are more than adequate for carrying capacity. The thickness of the steel used in the construction is adequate in all aspects of this stool. The rails in the top drawer make a decent tool box. All in all, it should last me a very long time and I would buy it again if the quality was the same. I would recommend this stool to anyone who needs a durable stool for their business.
