I can't verify how effective it is at preventing wood damage, but I'm pretty sure it is. better than not using it at all - e.g. B. for the inner structure of the tree or outdoors where you do not want wood discoloration. I also have Zap-A-Roach Boric Acid - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LLQ4AU8 to place between walls on support studs for added termite protection. I would consider using a more durable product for the exterior invisible wood structure like Copper-Green - https://www.amazon.com/Green-Products-30001-Preservative-1-Gallon/dp/B00CDWRXYY but maybe has it uses a contractor on internal studs when using this product it took about 4 weeks for the product to stop smelling so I started using PenaShield instead. At the end of the day, galvanized metal studs seem to be the way to go for new builds.
