There's a puzzle, it's a challenge

I've never had so much fun or maybe fury with any other puzzle/mystery/quest game I've ever played. There's a riddle. The hardest step is to see. I'll put a starting spoiler at the end of the review, but don't read it unless you want the wrong conclusions this game draws. It took my wife and I four months to figure it out, but we did it. We took a lot of breaks, sometimes not paying attention for a week or two, just trying to calm down and focus to get a fresh perspective on it. I totally understand people saying they were so disappointed they threw it away. That's the frustrating thing. With the ability to look back, the solutions are closely tied to the clues, and that makes a lot of sense. If you really want to solve this puzzle, you can, it just might take a long time. We solved the later steps much faster once you start to understand what's involved. I think it took us three weeks to find the beginning of the puzzle but less than 30 minutes to complete the last step. Much luck. And that first spoiler is below. It has a really good clue buried in google search. I was reading Cardano's book trying to figure out how to start the puzzle and it turned out to be unnecessary, so unnecessary. But searching "cardano" brings up so much math and cryptocurrency content that you can't find what you're looking for. Learn what a gimbal is, it will help you get started.
