The thing is holding up well so far. I use it to protect my beard from redness and slag. Today, even with the shield down, there was a metal patch stuck to my forehead just above my glasses. But my beard is still intact. Small update: I received my first one on August 15, 2019. The left after almost daily use for almost a year. And do laundry once a week. I received the correct one on August 7, 2020 (photo after a single wash). The only noticeable difference is the tags. In fact, I prefer the old sewn-on labels.
