My mother is 93 years old and still loves to embroider. I love these stamped baby quilts as the embossing is always crisp and the material is good quality. The blocks are easily cut in rows for easy handling. If you choose to do this, I would suggest sewing the edge of each strip to keep it from fraying. Regular colors are suggested for embroidering each block, but mom is happy to choose her own colors (think blue cows, pink horses, and colorful cats). I think this makes a wonderful heirloom gift as Mom embroiders, I add quilting and the newest child in the family becomes the recipient. They were usually given away as wall hangings.
