Wellness canned cat food is the only high-quality wet food my cats can eat. They like cheaper food, but when I read that giving them this type of food every day was like eating fast food burgers every day, I decided to increase their nutrient intake. The ingredients appear to be on par with other brands that are considered higher quality. This brand is grain free, which I've read is one of the biggest no-nos for cats whose natural diet is mostly meat. The first ingredient for this dish is meat. I also considered a turkey and salmon variant of this meal. My cats ate it, but this tuna likes it better. These jars have quite a thick sauce, but I only thin it down a bit by adding some water to the bowl and mixing it into my food. Helps them get some more water into their diet. I also don't know if it's because of this food or if I've been feeding my cats more wet food in the past few months, but they've stopped going from an average of twice a week to several times in the past few months. I am very happy with it. I would recommend this brand. Of course I can't promise other cats will like this - if you're reading this you know how finicky cats are - but I'd say if you're looking for higher quality canned cat food then you should appreciate this. fired.
