There were problems, but I could keep up well enough.

I received the fridge with the box in the right position but decided to wait 24 hours before plugging it in for the first time. The next day when I plugged it in, the fan made a very loud noise rubbing against the plastic grille. I managed to move him far enough to stop him. The only thing that never went away was the smell of a broken fridge, that subtle smell that most people have experienced at least once in their lives. It came from the ventilation. I left this seat on for 4 days to see if it would resolve. Unfortunately this did not happen. Placed in the car, the smell was so awful that the windows had to be rolled down. So I decided to send it back for a replacement. Still waiting for it to arrive. For 4 days I monitored the temperature with an outside thermometer. When the probe was at the bottom of the ground, it was absolutely accurate. However, at the top of the refrigerator, there was a deviation of almost 15 degrees. Temperatures were maintained for the first 4 to 6 inches of altitude. I was able to keep the ice pack on the ground and it stayed rock hard for the whole 4 days. I've found that you can technically use this as a fridge/freezer if you put all your frozen foods on the bottom and your refrigerated items on top. At 22 degrees this worked perfectly as it was 37 degrees at the top. If you're trying to use this purely as a freezer, look elsewhere. If that premise works for you, then this might be the fridge for you. I just hope the next one works and doesn't stink. If so, I will revise this review.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
