I bought these shoes on a last minute decision (woo-hoo same-day delivery!) for a trip to Yosemite in the snow. I wore them non-stop for 2 days in the snow, and walked/hiked close to 20 miles in them across the weekend. While they could have used a little more arch support for what I was doing, I was really happy with them. My feet only started to hurt a little at the end of each day. I was up to cuffs in snow multiple times. I felt like they were definitely waterproof to the snow. It was also raining while I was there and I found that if I accidentally stepped in a deep puddle water would seep in. So, they kept my feet warm and dry in the snow, but I wouldn't suggest them for puddle jumping! Overall I was very happy and surprised with how well they performed. They even had great traction for longs walks on ice and snow and rainy-slush.
