Review on SilverStone Technology Tempered Glass Mid Tower by David Fisher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Definitely impressed

Summary: I would highly recommend this case, it's a solid product. I am very happy to have received this case and will look after Silverstone in the future. It's way better than I expected. It's also bigger and roomier. I bought it when the Lian Li Lancool 2 case was sold out. A solid case with excellent airflow and I managed to fit all the components inside. Take a set of 3 fans and install them in the front. There are parts of this case that are not user friendly. I haven't had any trouble routing cables, but others may have lots of zip ties and it will take your time. Great when everything is assembled and I'm happy with the purchase. My Story aka Why I Bought This Case: There were so many options and I chose another case, Lian Li Lancool 2, then it was sold and returned for twice the price. Then I settled on the NZXT H510. But none of my kids liked it and my wife said it looked too easy. After doing some research, I remembered liking Silverstone cases when I was younger and wished I had the money to build a PC case out of them. So I found this case and it looked like a fake Lancool 2 but the kids loved it. This was my first PC I've been building for over 15 years and it was fun but the case has some flaws but it looks great and was fun to build. enough to easily fit all my components. It could fit a fairly large Scythe Ninja 5 cooler with about 1" spacing, I have 5 fans in it, all 120mm, I would recommend ordering a kit of 2 x 140mm fans for installation. front or set of 3 x 120mm fans. Airflow with a few extra fans (only 2 fans are included) and my stock Wraith CPU cooler is great, my Saphire 5600 xt GPU stays cool and never went above 52C when overclocking, MyAMD Ryzen 3600 at 4.13 never exceeded 44°C and usually stayed at 36°C with my standard CPU cooler. The 3rd pin goes to the case fan to turn it on. The 4 pin connector is for RGB, I think the RGB connector. The included fans work with my Asrock Polychrome software and use both as exhaust fans. You can remove the included optional hard drive bay to simplify cable management or improve airflow. System temperature drops slightly. Cons: - It doesn't have a USB-C port (for those who like it) - Cable management works great but could be better - Removing the front panel (to add more fans) may take a few minutes to sort out, I had to watch several videos on youtube. If this is your first time doing this, things will be pretty easy. It is important to look at the dimensions of the power adapter to ensure you choose the correct size. I ordered a Seasonic Focus GX-750 which cost very little money at the time. Its dimensions for reference: 3.39 x 5.91 x 5.51. A larger PSU could fit, but there's little wiggle room. Despite some shortcomings. The younger ones only look at the computer and absolutely want to sit on it. I just wish he was a little bigger. It's great value for money.
