I ran out of the two colors on just one piece and had to match in my own inventory and ended up buying yarn. The thread, as another reviewer said, is of very poor quality, leaving anything from a few cm to a few inches at either end unusable, leaving you with even less thread. The hoop is actually decent quality, but too small to embroider patterns effectively and move it over the erased part of the pattern (it never got wet). The result doesn't look anything but outstanding, but it's a cheap kit so I should have expected that. As for the instructions, I think that if you are a beginner, it will be difficult for you to just follow the instructions that come with it, and you need to supplement them somehow. . It doesn't even tell you how to center or tie/untie a flat weave, for example, so it's more of a beginner to intermediate kit. 3/5 stars because it's acceptable, especially for the price, but if you want quality or want to give your embroidery as a gift, get something else.
