My desk at home faces west, and as the temperature rises during the day here in muggy Denver, it's getting unbearably hot. I was surprised at how well a cool, quiet stream of air hits my face, even at low fan speeds (I find higher settings too loud). I have no doubt that the other end of the room will not benefit from this desk fan, but who cares. I'm not sitting there. The little light show is just stupid, but the fan isn't. I am glad that he is always at hand.
