First let me say that I sent this curtain back thinking I had received the wrong size. I then measured my window and found that the measurements matched the size of the curtain ordered. When I was going back through the reviews to try and figure out why my curtain doesn't look the same, I noticed a few people posting pictures showing a long curtain and noticed that mine looks just like them upside down was standing. So I turned it around and here it is - the curtain I wanted! The rule of thumb is similar to the instructions on the Revain product page, there are pictures of bow building instructions. The crease/line where the arch marks begin is about 12-14 inches from the cornice. If it's longer, you've got it upside down and need to flip it to get the look you want. This curtain is wonderful! I have it in my bathroom and it goes well with my decor. I have off-white. It looks elegant and classy and adds a nice touch to my bathroom. I will be buying more as I really love this look and the quality of this curtain is amazing!
