Adds shine, not shine

My hardwood floor is the original hardwood floor in a 70 year old house. The wood wax gave it a glossy sheen and covered minor scratches. Allow time to dry and make sure your floor is vacuumed and mopped well before application. It needs to be reapplied from time to time, but it will definitely take a while.
