I have had this scanner for 4 years and it would be very impractical without it. This is MUCH faster than scanning with my flatbed scanner. I saw a mention in a review of having to press a button for the second side to be scanned. That's not the case. I also read that you have to click Cancel to complete the scan. This is an option if you want to quickly switch to another scan. However, after 30 seconds the scanner "cancels" itself and you can continue working. They contain a transparent "envelope" in which you can put small receipts or damaged documents for a clean scan. I've scanned thousands of photos and documents with very few mistakes or errors, and most of them were my own fault. This is a very reliable device that is easy to set up and use. My only concern is that folder mapping software may need some work to speed up folder mapping. I'm not sure what will change, but after all it's their job, not mine. Very worth the purchase price. I think it may have dropped as much as $10 since I bought mine.
