Unfortunately, in my excitement to make sweet summer corn soup, I got a little excited and didn't read the reviews. Unfortunately, I couldn't even swallow an ear of corn. I've tried three times. I'll say it MIGHT work if it's store-bought packaged corn. But it is actually a cob of corn, the cob is too big to go all the way so almost the entire cob is wasted if you have to force the mechanism to lift the cob to take it off. The grains get stuck in various places, making cleaning difficult. Disappointed because I was so looking forward to it! I was relieved to pierce the remaining ears with a knife because it was so much easier!
