I've only used this a few times but so far I like it. I've used it on parmesan cheese, lemons, limes and chocolate. Worked great, just wanted a coarser chocolate - my mistake. But parmesan grates easier than all three tools I have. It is similar with citrus fruits. I like the plastic lid that prevents it from snagging or snagging on anything. Like towels or your fingers when you reach into the drawer. I didn't know you could use a plastic lid to catch what you grated so I'll have to try. I don't wash such items in the dishwasher, but they are easy to clean by hand. I like it when the "leg" rests on the counter while working. It feels comfortable in hand and gets the job done easily. I really couldn't believe how hot my very hard aged parmesan could get grated so quickly. Great product and I can only recommend it.
