I am very impressed with this set as it is not too bulky but has everything we need to keep our pups successful in the garden. We have a 16 week old boxer puppy and a large back yard with a small fence in the back. We have already noticed that he is an excavator, and above all I am afraid that he will dig, climb or climb over this fence. It's all dense thickets, trees, and a verge of greenery that eventually leads to a busy street. I would be devastated if my boy got out. Since my fiancé hasn't built a new fence yet, I thought this was the best option and now he might not even have to. I was very fortunate to be able to get this in a ground fencing system to try with our dogs. The instruction manual is easy to follow and the kit also comes with a training manual which required a lot of attention and care. PetSafe also included a small "Let Us Help" pamphlet with a phone number and information on how to get further instructions. Help. Once the device is assembled, collars put on and our puppies are officially trained I will get back to you to let you know how effective this device is. We have to wait until our 16 week old male is 6 months old. Two collars are used for our puppy and our 2.5 year old bitch. FYI: The instructions also state that these collars should never be left on your dog for more than 12 hours a day.
