UPDATE: I installed the mic mount upside down so it wobbles! This microphone stand and microphone are actually very durable. Original: I bought this USB mic so I don't have to tie myself to a lavalier mic when I'm narrating videos or presenting. This is an inexpensive improvement over a head mic because you can place it on a table and be about 12-20 inches away from it. I use it with my music headphones so there are no feedback issues on calls. Check out my uploaded video for a comparison test of my gaming headset, laptop mic and lavalier mic. PRO:1. Good clear audio recording from USB connection.2. Easy to install and light weight3. Gain control in front of the microphone to increase the recording volume.4. Valuable PrizeCON:1. Gain control does not mute the mic - no mute button.2. The included tripod and mount work, but the plastic microphone holder is loose. (I SET UP – USER ERROR :) 3. USB only Overall good value for mic recording. You can spend over $100 for other USB mics with more controls, but if you just need a good mic for a powerpoint story or video and don't want to carry a mic around, this might be a good option for you.
