I'm a bus driver so I ordered these when arthritis developed in my thumb. The gel pad is great; it closes and protects the thumb joint exactly where I need it. They wear out like normal socks. But I love how they both fit my right hand. I use one for a few months, then when it's completely worn out I take a second one. If I have to reorder once or twice a year. Well, it's like buying socks!
