I like the color combos. When I first plugged it in it had a red, white, and blue combo. It easily changed to other color combinations. I like that I can choose how long the lights stay on before turning off. The only thing I am not sure about is how long the actual plug part will last for outdoors. It is a usb with a block, not very weather proof. I did think about putting silicone around it and gluing it together but I will see how it goes. Also, the wires that hold the lights are not in a clear plastic tube.
