We are using it with a 2007 Toyota RAV4 and it is the best fit for this car of all the car mounts we have reviewed. The magnets are strong enough to hold an iPhone 8+ in a Caseology case with a metal plate between the phone and the case. The RAV4 is a rigid machine that cannot be mounted on. There are no flat surfaces near where you want to position the mount, so mounts secured with adhesive are excluded. This WizGear mount can be a problem for many vehicles because the top clip that attaches to the vane in the air duct is a fixed distance from the base. On the RAV4, the dashboard slopes outward just far enough to support the base's two lower legs. As a bonus, if you don't need the mount most of the time, it removes and stows away in seconds, freeing up the dash and allowing full use of the air vents.
