I pasted this but quickly realized that squares are not a perfect grid. A clean cut with a straight edge leaves some squares cut and others intact. This can be great if you close the entire window, but I chose to leave the top quarter open so I can see out. I did better on the second window (practice makes perfect). In fact, it's like sticking a giant protective film on a window. I ended up using a giant piece of cardboard with SD cards from the club store as a "scraper". Where I accidentally stretched the vinyl trying to adjust and straighten it after it got wet. I managed to fix it with a heat gun. This achieves the goal of data protection.
