Review on ABLEWE 2-Pack 3D Joycon Joystick Replacement Kit for Switch: Includes Joystick, Tools, and Accessories by Scott Channell

When my right joystick started to drift, I was reluctant to repair it myself because I had no experience repairing electronics and my options were limited. I did NOT want to spend $80 on new joycons that would likely have the same issue, or get rid of my joycon and be out of the switch for god knows how long during lockdown. I'm so glad I bought this kit to fix it myself because it's worth it! The set is perfect for swapping out the left or right analog stick (they're the same!). The kit included everything that was stated in the description, but I only used 2 screwdrivers (not black), tweezers and 1 spare analog stick (2nd spare). The screwdrivers were the perfect size (no stripping, no extra screws required!) and the tweezers made installing the ribbon cable a breeze. Fixed in 30 minutes but would have been quicker if my right trigger hadn't failed. My incompetent self couldn't figure out how to put it back in, so it took half the time. Despite this setback, even someone with no experience can do it :) As instructed, I went to calibrate the joycon and unfortunately there is a SMALL up shift to the left that hasn't gone away. However, this didn't affect the gameplay in any way, so I decided to just leave it as is rather than re-opening the joycon and using a second spare. I also noticed that this analog stick is a little stiffer than the original (doesn't move as much when you move it, you might feel a slight resistance), but again it doesn't affect gameplay, so I don't mind out. I am very happy with this set! It's not a perfect solution, but it's 100x better than what I was dealing with and now I have a handy joycon!
