Review on Cassida C200 Coin Sorter, Counter And Roller - Money Counting Machine by Chris Lapan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very BIG unit: my feedback

We took about an hour and a half sorting 256 dollars worth of coin. The machine was fast but we took our time to actually recount coin again separately to check for accuracy and pour over the manual carefully as we went. The machine is accurate. We ran through some, not all, of the processes and found using the Cassida user-manual pretty easy to work with. Still have yet to try the coin wrapper type sorting but did read that the machine will stop before the number of coins exceeds the roll, prevent overspill and botching up the count and purpose for counting-- thus the pause allows one to put in a new wrapper. Very cool feature.Because we didn't have any coin wrappers we used the open bin style of counting/sorting. We would pour the collected coin (per count) into small plastic bags an write a note showing the dollar amount. As others have stated here in the reviews. If the endgame is to turn coin in for cash or deposit to a bank the coin wrapping seems a waste of time as banks always unwrap and recount with their machines anyway. But if your business requires a convenient means of accurately and conveniently tracking your own coin for giving change to customers the coin wrapping feature is essential.Overall the machine is terrific. Except for the obvious and unavoidable noise of the coins falling into the loose bins its QUIET! We recommend this Cassida Coin Sorter. Some things to be aware of. The unit is quite large and may take up more real estate on the average persons desk or shelving than one would like. The spare parts (those receptacles not in use) have to be stored and the risk of loss over time is a reality. Next, perhaps we're overlooking a good reason and welcome a reply/explanation here but we could not figure out why the penny receptacle is one of the smaller bins when pennies clearly are in the majority of most change collection.Again, the machine is terrific and we close with a strong recommendation FOR the Cassida C200.
