Malfunction. may be incorrect size

After tightening this cap until it clicked, I found that it didn't work because I could easily remove it with little to no effort by pulling it through the fuel tank opening of my 2005 Lexus GX 470 . The main reason I bought it was to replace my stock gas cap as it claimed to fit a 2005 GX 470. good sealing of the tank opening.
