Review on 🔧 Universal Hitch Skid - Body Armor 5136, Black by Jero Fontaine

Easy to fit and top quality but not "universal" as stated in the description. I was very excited to get this for my 2019 ranger so I ordered it. Delivery was quick and I excitedly opened the box and pulled out this powerful, strong and beautiful piece of heavy duty steel and admired its weight as I carried it outside in the back of my truck. This is where my excitement turned to disappointment. When I inserted it into the receiver, it barely went an inch before suddenly stopping without even getting close to any of the pin insertion holes. The protective plate on this unit did not release the mount that usually has safety chains attached to it. I'm not sure the Ranger is unique in that regard; This bracket is not parallel to the ground as on most vehicles, and the support chain bracket is bent downward at an angle. I didn't want to spoil the rating of the product because I would certainly give it 5 stars if it matched, but I also felt the need to warn others with the same car not to make the same disappointing mistake.
