This item was purchased after our child lost the original charger for his Leapfrog while we were on holiday. We bought these as a replacement. The charger worked well when we first bought it, but broke after two months of infrequent use. The metal base of the USB charger came loose inside the Leappad after a moderate number of charges and had to be removed with tweezers. We use Leapfrogs sparingly and only need to charge them occasionally. Even so, and with the guarantee that the kids weren't using the charger too roughly, it broke anyway. We found the metal part to be quite snug, but we were definitely surprised when it broke off completely. Even if we have to buy another charger now, we will go to another seller because of the obviously poor quality.
