Works as described. A great addition to the trunk lid. I don't know why HD doesn't work. When installing, make sure to slide the cover through the factory strap slot on the case. It has LOTS of pieces of double-sided adhesive. It's a little tricky not to accidentally snag a piece of glue (when it's open) as the strap holding the lid forces you to place the liner very close to the edge of the lid. TIP: Afterwards, you can simply peel off the adhesive film from the top of the lid tape and stick it on. Once that is in place, remove each side band individually and achieve the perfect placement. Mine lined up perfectly and I peeled off all the adhesive backing. Both ways can work, but my advice will make it easier.
