After weeks of researching rear view cameras and monitors I came across these main units. For a little more than I was planning to spend anyway, this direct-fit device offered a lot more features without the clutter of another monitor to mess with on my dash. With similar head units to choose from and mixed reviews the choice was difficult but I couldn't be happier. Here are the points I think are important. - This works whether your truck has a Bose system or not. .-Many people complain that their connected or existing rear camera does not work. I had this problem but I found out why. Do yourself a favor and check out their website for a much better photo of the connectors. The included wiring harness has yellow RCA connectors labeled Video In/Out, and for the camera to work they must be connected together before "Camera In" is displayed. The system definitely works on a plug and play basis. My original device had 3 plugs and an antenna. I unplugged mine and plugged the original plugs into the included wiring harness. They cannot be connected incorrectly. All are different sizes. After installing the device, I was immediately surprised by the improvement in sound quality, which I did not expect. Louder, cleaner and more bass. The screen equalizer is amazing. The screen is fully legible in bright daylight and has excellent resolution. The touchscreen is responsive, and when I'm connected to my phone's hotspot, I always have everything I want in a beautiful tablet at hand. APP, Netflix, any navigation app, etc. Yes, you can also watch videos while driving. Phone calls through the system are better than the original system. via USB rather than a Wi-Fi hotspot so you can bypass bandwidth throttling, but that's not this product's fault. The modem is designed for computers. I wanted to sell the caravan. now i hold Thanks to this product, I enjoy driving trucks again!
